Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations in the United States. The role includes leading the team, overseeing service programs, and assisting in hiring and training.

Qualifications

• Sales Specialist Training and Assistant Manager Certification or RSS Certification are required.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to provide excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom floor and execute customer service programs.
• Help staff the retail sales counter during peak hours and shifts.
• Assist in hiring, interviewing, and selecting qualified team members.
• Ensure phone inquiries are answered per policy and orders are processed timely.
• Manage buy online/ship to store, hub, and store-to-store transfers; notify customers on shipment arrivals.
• Use electronic outside purchase orders for special orders and outside purchases.
• Process returns and exchanges efficiently and correctly; issue refunds with proper methods.
• Ensure merchandise, including core charges and warranties, are invoiced before leaving the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure team compliance with schedules and clock-in/out procedures.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and secure deposits; manage night security.
• Assist in maintaining store facility, signage, lighting, equipment, and delivery vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
