Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide pediatric services in clients' homes and daytime facilities in Texas. You will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and feeding disorders for ages 0-21, 2+ visits weekly, following physician orders.

Requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, Texas license, and pediatric/home health experience; Spanish bilingualism is a plus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or University.
• CCC-SLP certification/clinical fellowship readiness.
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required; home health preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0–21 years, 2+ visits per week, per physician orders.
• Define degree and type of communication and feeding impairments using appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to plan goals and train staff in therapy modalities.
• Modify care plans to meet therapy goals and educate staff, caregivers, and patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
