Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance and daily operations. This role also assumes shift management in the absence of supervisors.

The position encourages bilingual applicants and requires strong communication, plus a pathway to RSS Certification. Retail sales experience and automotive knowledge are a plus as the company supports growth and internal promotion.

• Must have strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders promptly; contact customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, using the outside purchase order ledger.
• Process and stage returns; issue refunds using correct payment methods.
• Invoicing of all merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves store.
• Coordinate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Verify adherence to posted work schedules and clocking in/out per policy.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day end procedures, bank deposits, and security checks.
• All other duties as assigned.
