Job summary

The Bridge is seeking a Resident Advocate to provide direct services to residents in a 100-bed emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness. The role is 36 hours per week, Friday–Sunday, 7am–7pm, in Pasadena, TX.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, two years of direct care experience, and bilingual English/Spanish. Compensation is $33,696 annually with full-time benefits and opportunities to contribute to a supportive community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree is highly desired.
• Two years' experience providing direct care in social services or residential settings with at-risk clients.
• Bilingual required; English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial intake of residents and orient them to shelter guidelines.
• Assign rooms and supervise residents to ensure safety and compliance.
• Document services and maintain daily census and logs.
• Assist Food Services with daily meal counts and supervise meals.
• Respond to 24/7 hotline, LIVEchat and texts with safety planning and crisis intervention.
• Update shelter bed database and TBOTW account; ensure bed availability.
• Orient volunteers and new staff; perform other duties as assigned.
