M. J. Sheridan of Texas, Inc. is looking to add a Safety Coordinator to its team in Houston. The Safety Coordinator will audit and enforce safety rules and procedures in field operations and monitor safe driver guidelines. The role involves travel in a company vehicle to various job sites around Houston and nearby areas.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform safety inspections and quality control audits on job sites, documenting findings via I-Auditor.
• Investigate field accidents, injuries, and damages; produce detailed reports with photographs promptly.
• Assist with evaluations for all required OQ training modules.
• Evaluate new drivers and facilitate ongoing defensive driver training.
• Inventory, calibrate, and repair all Four Gas Monitors and CGI equipment; track crew assignments and repairs.
• Coordinate with Human Resources regarding Workers Compensation injuries, employee restrictions, and return-to-work processes.
• Manage the First Aid Program and inventory supplies.
• Provide First Aid as needed and follow up on injuries.
• Schedule and manage clinic visits for injured workers, liaising with medical facilities.
• Assist in training staff on safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Knowledge of safety training principles, methods, and instructional techniques for individuals and groups.
• Understanding of safety equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to ensure employee and public safety.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish, including translation skills.
• First Aid / CPR certification.

Requirements and Competencies:

• Effective communication skills to convey information clearly.
• Fluency in verbal and written Spanish and English.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience:
