The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables the Army, Navy, and Air Force medical services to provide a medically ready force and ready medical force to Combatant Commands in both peacetime and wartime. The DHA supports the delivery of integrated, affordable, and high-quality health services to Military Health System (MHS) beneficiaries and is responsible for driving greater integration of clinical and business processes across the MHS.

TheDHA Research and Engineering Directorate(R&E) delivers value to our beneficiary communities by shepherding innovative material and knowledge solutions from concept through final product development and into the hands of providers and Warfighters. We are an enabler for innovative improvements in patient outcomes and the delivery of care.
As an Information Systems Security Manager, you will:
The ideal candidate will support the efforts required to ensure that all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the Information System (IS).
· Work within established quality procedures, standards, policies, and specifications.
· Review customer requirements and ensure they are being met.
· Work in an IPT structure and be well versed in virtual meetings and working groups.
· Attend required technical (e.g., operating system, networking, security management, Sysadmin) security training relative to assigned duties.
· Ensure that proper decisions are made concerning levels of concern for confidentiality, integrity, availability of the data, and the protection level for confidentiality for the system.
· Report all security-related incidents to DHA R&E’s incident response team coordinator.
· Assist with initiating protective and corrective measures when a security incident or vulnerability is discovered
· Develop and maintain an accreditation/certification support documentation packages for DHA R&E systems
· Conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance with the accreditation/certification support documentation package.
· Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
· Establish audit trails and ensure they’re reviewed by appropriate cybersecurity personnel (reviews will be reported to and approved by Government personnel).
· Conduct ad-hoc, annual, quarterly, and weekly vulnerability scans using DoD and DHA approved scanning tools
· Assist in the detailed investigation and documentation of security incidents.
· Assist with monitoring DoD security related communication tasking orders. These task orders can range in complexity from informational notices to requirements needing many months of effort to implement.
· Support the government's directive to implement all aspects of Common Access Card (CAC) login and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology.
· Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
· Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Other Requirements
Minimum Requirement: Strong experience and competencies to maintain the following:
· Knowledge of procedures to review networks, systems, and applications for Net worthiness Certification.
· Ability to work and communicate effectively with peers, employees, and management team.
· Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
· Ability to coordinate several activities at once, quickly analyze and resolve specific problems, and cope with deadlines effectively.
· Contribute to the fostering of positive team morale; be a team player.
· Adapt to changes in the work environment and manage competing demands while maintaining a professional demeanor.
· Familiar with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and CMMI Dev 2.0 processes.
Desired Certifications and Experience: Must hold DOD 8570.01-M IAM level II baseline certifications such as: Security + CE.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Computer science, Computer Engineering, or another related field. In lieu of degree, 5 years of direct relevant experience is acceptable in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
Years of Experience: Minimum of 3 years of Information Systems Security experience.

Clearance: Public Trust. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
