Job summary

Oriental in Bayamón, PR seeks an Associate, Retail Channels (Bilingual Teller) to deliver exceptional, friendly service in person at the branch. You will handle teller transactions, assist customers, and promote bank products while maintaining accuracy and security.

The role requires bilingual English/Spanish skills, an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, and at least one year of customer service experience. On-site position with potential overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.
• One year of customer service, call center or sales experience.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Good telephone etiquette, listening and communication skills.
• Understanding of banking or financial products preferred.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Ability to work flexible hours and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Serve customers in a professional, courteous and efficient manner at teller functions.
• Perform regular teller transactions through electronic/remote interactions per policy.
• Answer questions, maintain excellent customer relations, refer to other staff for complex issues.
• Work independently with problem-solving to resolve issues and follow security procedures.
• Multitask across multiple software programs while serving customers.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer to bank products as appropriate.
• Balance cash at end of day per procedures.
• Adhere to security, audit and compliance requirements.
• Mentor or train new Virtual Tellers as needed.
• Communicate customer feedback to branch/department and promote the Virtual Teller benefits.
• Other duties as assigned.
