Job summary

Oriental Bank in Puerto Rico is seeking an Associate, Retail Channel (Teller) to deliver superior, efficient customer service and handle a range of transactional services on-site in Caguas.

You will promote bank products, balance cash, maintain logs and comply with policies and regulations while identifying cross‑selling opportunities and referring customers to peers. The role requires a technical degree or credits and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or approved credits in Business Administration or related field.
• One year of retail, customer service or cash register experience.
• Fully bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills and strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and Visio.
• Availability to work branch hours and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provides high quality and efficient customer service to patrons.
• Handles deposits, withdrawals, checks, payments and transfers.
• Promotes bank products and cross-sells to customers.
• Balances cash fund and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
• Maintains logs and preserves transaction records.
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and regulations.
• Escalates suspicious activity to management when needed.
• Assists customers with inquiries and referrals to appropriate areas.
