Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This role also assumes shift management in the absence of supervisory staff.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and experience in auto parts is a plus; the position emphasizes teamwork, accurate invoicing, and efficient handling of orders, returns, and store processes.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in customer service for retail and professional customers.
• Supervise showroom customer service levels and execute programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly; contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges, issue refunds with correct payment methods, and stage returns properly.
• Invoicing of merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure staff clock in/out and adhere to posted schedules; manage opening/closing duties and security checks.
• All other duties as assigned.
