O'Reilly Auto Parts in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers with sales, customer service, store appearance, and day-to-day operations.

This role may assume shift management in the absence of store leadership; bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, and the team focuses on delivering excellent service to retail and professional customers.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience in auto parts is a plus.
• ASE Certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom including program execution (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders promptly; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges; issue refunds using correct methods; stage returns properly.
• Invoice merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before it leaves the store.
• Coordinate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure schedule adherence, proper clock-ins/outs, and secure banking procedures during day end.
• All other duties as assigned.
