The role is part-time, non-exempt, with bilingual English/Spanish requirements and responsibilities spanning clerical work, patient data entry, and medication support to ensure accurate, timely services. The position emphasizes patient interaction, prescription delivery, inventory management, and collaboration with pharmacists, within a community health setting.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of pharmacy assistant, office, administrative, patient care or customer service experience.
• Pharmacy assistant state registration within 60 days of hire (or active Pharmacy Intern License).
• Bilingual English/Spanish required at a high level for communication with patients.

Responsabilidades

• Answer the phone and route inquiries to appropriate staff.
• Enter patient data, insurance, allergies, doctor and diagnosis accurately.
• Deliver prescriptions to patients and collect payment and signature.
• Coordinate prescription counseling with the Pharmacist as needed.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder to maintain minimum inventory.
• Verify orders and attach labels; shelve products in proper locations.
• Check expiration dates and manage returns or discards per policy.
• Process prescription refills and verify availability as allowed by state.
• Complete third party billing forms and seek prior authorizations as needed.
• Perform duties in line with Joint Commission, HRSA, and YVFWC requirements.
