Job summary

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada is seeking a Job Developer to assist clients in obtaining employment aligned with Self-Sufficiency Plans. You will coordinate with Case Managers and ESL Instructors to place refugees in jobs, conducting assessments, supporting applications, and following up to ensure job retention.

Develop partnerships with local employers to expand opportunities. The role requires strong multilingual communication, caseload management, and teamwork within our Mission-driven

Qualifications

• Bilingual abilities in English, Arabic, Farsi or other languages spoken by our refugees.
• Ability to manage a high caseload and handle urgent matters.
• Ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Must possess critical thinking skills and prioritize multiple appointments.
• Knowledge of diverse cultural backgrounds, especially refugees.
• Facilitation of employment orientations and job readiness workshops.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate refugee and other refugee-eligible populations for employment or training.
• Assist with employment services such as resume building, applications, translations, transportation, and documents.
• Record all employment activities and maintain client files.
• Plan and implement self-sufficiency plans in coordination with clients and ESL instructors.
• Encourage job upgrades and employment trainings.
• Provide employment orientation focusing on process and cultural issues.
• Work with local employers to place clients in jobs.
