Job summary

Commonwealth Catholic Charities is seeking a Resettlement Services Coordinator to support ORR-eligible clients during initial resettlement in Virginia. You will assist with housing, essential goods, and benefit applications while coordinating with partners and maintaining case documentation.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, bilingual abilities, and a valid driver’s license. Office software knowledge and community resource navigation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; three years related experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Bilingual in English and at least one of several listed languages.

Responsibilities

• Conducts Pre-Arrival Planning, including housing arrangements prior to arrival.
• Meets new refugee arrivals at airport and transports to housing.
• Provides material support and essential goods (groceries, clothing, diapers).
• Performs Needs Assessment and Service Planning for early self-sufficiency.
• Conducts in-person home visits to assess needs and monitor progress.
• Assists with applications for ORR and mainstream benefits.
• Orients clients to community resources and daily life.
• Arranges transportation for appointments and coordinates with donors and volunteers.
• Maintains documentation and case files to ensure compliance.
