Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care in San Antonio, TX seeks a Referral and Scheduling Coordinator to schedule and pre-register patients for exams and procedures with specialists outside the primary care office. You will communicate preparation instructions to patients and referring providers, gather information, and work onsite at Conviva Thousand Oaks Care Center.

This patient-facing role reports to the Supervisor, Medical Referrals.

Qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on healthcare experience in a clinical setting.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficient with medical terminology.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Schedule and pre-register patients for exams and procedures with outside specialists and providers.
• Gather and communicate all relative information and preparation instructions to patients and referring providers.
