Job summary

Wellness Pointe is seeking a referral clerk to schedule referral appointments for patients and provide information on physicians and services. The role supports coordination of referrals in line with clinic procedures and patient care goals.

Ideal candidates will have at least a high school diploma and 2 years of medical office experience, strong data entry and communication skills, and a willingness to work with Spanish-speaking patients. Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years related medical office experience (preferred).
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Requires a valid Texas Driver's License, appropriate driving record and auto liability insurance per Texas statute.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient referral log in line with Physician's direction and track and maintain patient appointment follow-through.
• Ensure referral and booking management is carried out in agreement with company rules and regulations.
• Schedules referral appointments for patients and fulfills requests for information on physicians and services.
• Carries out other duties as assigned.
