Job summary

Westlake Management Services in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Production Supervisor to assist the Plant Manager in directing the production facility. The role focuses on achieving sales requirements through supervising production personnel and QA technicians, while enforcing safety, quality, and Lean initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience), 5 years of manufacturing experience, and 2 years of management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or related Engineering; preferred but not required if sufficient equivalent experience.
• 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• 2 years management experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production personnel and quality assurance staff.
• Assist in maintenance planning and preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Recommend operating objectives and report facility performance against them.
• Monitor safety programs and lead safety meetings.
• Lead quality meetings to ensure product quality and compliance with Westlake standards, ICBO and UBC.
• Review production schedules and manage raw material inventories.
• Coordinate training programs and ensure annualized trainings are completed.
• Lead Lean processes and continuous improvement programs.
• Coordinate performance appraisals and onboarding of new staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Line Supervisor.
