Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. is seeking a part-time Patient Concierge to support operations at South Bay Radiation Oncology Center in Chula Vista, CA.

The role involves Cancer Registry submissions, medical record sorting, and EMR task cleanup while providing excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish, capable of multi-tasking in a busy medical office, and committed to accurate data handling and professional communication.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience preferred in a medical office.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task and stay organized.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Prior experience in a busy medical office setting preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities

• Cancer Registry submission.
• Medical record sorting.
• Schedule and re-schedule appointments.
• Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls.
• Call patients to schedule follow up appointments or consults.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information, updating patient records as needed.
• Assist with patient check in and check out.
• Work collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team onsite and over the phone.
• Use sound judgement and a professional demeanor when communicating with patients and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
