Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a part-time Patient Concierge to support Cancer Registry submissions and back-office tasks at the South Bay Radiation Oncology Center in Chula Vista, CA.

The role is 1–8 hours per week with flexible days, and it is not remote. The successful candidate will assist with medical records, appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and phone inquiries while maintaining a patient-centered, details-focused approach. Bilingual in Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience, preferred
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Must be able to multi-task
• Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
• Prior experience working in a busy, fast-paced medical office setting highly preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Cancer Registry submission
• Medical record sorting
• Schedule and re-schedule appointments
• Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls
• Call patients to schedule follow up appointments or consults
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information, updating patient records as needed
• Assist with patient check in and check out
• Work collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team onsite and over the phone
• Use sound judgement and a professional demeanor when communicating with patients as well as other staff
• Other duties as assigned
