Job summary

Cardinal Health in Chula Vista, CA is seeking a Part-time Patient Concierge to support Practice Operations. The role requires 1–8 hours per week with flexible scheduling and no guaranteed hours.

On-site at South Bay Radiation Oncology Center, bilingual Spanish is required to assist with cancer registry submissions and EMR-related administrative tasks. Responsibilities include medical record sorting, scheduling, patient check-in/out, and coordinating with the care team.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience, preferred
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Must be able to multi-task
• Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
• Prior experience working in a busy, fast-paced medical office setting highly preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

• Cancer Registry submission
• Medical record sorting
• Schedule and re-schedule appointments
• Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls
• Call patients to schedule follow up appointments or consults
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information, updating patient records as needed
• Assist with patient check in and check out
• Work collaboratively with the inter-disciplinary team onsite and over the phone
• Use sound judgement and a professional demeanor when communicating with patients as well as other staff
• Other duties as assigned
