Qualifications

  • Active licensure or equivalent required for practice.
  • Experience in donor center or clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong ability to interview and assess donor suitability.
  • Ability to instruct donors and staff on procedures and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
  • Administer and supervise approved immunizations other than RBC immunizations.
  • Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff per licensure.
  • Promote positive donor relations and confidentiality of donor data.
  • Conduct medical history reviews and health assessments of donors.
  • Communicate with Center Medical Director on donor suitability issues.
  • Review test results to determine continued donor suitability.
  • Record donor information accurately in the electronic management system.
  • Maintain SOPs and ensure safety and cleanliness in the center.
  • May be cross-trained in additional areas as needed.

Education

Active state licensure (paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, naturopathic training program or medical school)
