Job summary

CSL Plasma in Charlotte, NC is seeking a phlebotomist to perform pheresis and plasma collection with strict SOP adherence in a fast-paced center.

You will conduct donor venipuncture, monitor the pheresis process, ensure donor safety, document activities in the donor information system, and assist with equipment maintenance as required. This role may include educator duties for new donors and occasional overtime to support center operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CSL Plasma DST training for internal candidates.
• External candidates: minimum 6 months as a phlebotomist; 12 months in medical/healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedure and plasma collection per SOPs.
• Perform donor venipuncture to initiate pheresis.
• Evaluate vein performance and expedite donation time while ensuring safety.
• Educate donors about donation process and center policies; answer questions.
• Monitor for donor reactions and respond as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data in the electronic system.
• Maintain equipment and respond to alarms, calibrate as required.
• Ensure donor flow and center operation runs smoothly.
