Job summary

Bento Nouveau Inc in Chicago is hiring a Bilingual People Operations Generalist to support full-cycle People Operations for employees and managers in Chicago. This role partners with the People Operations Manager to ensure smooth HR processes and compliance.

Responsibilities include managing recruitment, onboarding, I-9 compliance, benefits, performance cycle support, HR systems upkeep, policy enforcement, and safety programs.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of HR, admin, recruiting, or employee support experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal labor laws preferred.
• Spanish proficiency required (speaking and writing).
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruitment: postings, screening, interview coordination, and hiring logistics.
• Facilitate onboarding/orientation; manage I-9 compliance; oversee offboarding and exit processing.
• Handle employee concern intake and resolutions; conduct investigations and guide conflict resolution.
• Ensure employment law compliance across federal, state, and local requirements.
• Assist with benefits enrollments, changes, and inquiries; support performance review cycles.
