Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Hospital in Pennsauken, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Receptionist to welcome patients, answer calls, verify insurance, collect payments, and coordinate with clinical staff. This role is benefits-eligible and located on site.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma, 2 years of clerical/healthcare experience, and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook, with strong communication and customer-service skills. Bilingual Spanish abilities are valued.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in clerical/healthcare environment preferred.
• Computer literate in Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and patient’s families.
• Ability to function independently or under supervision as task requires.
• Organizational and time management skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Bilingual (Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls and transfer to appropriate destinations.
• Greet patients and collect required documentation, copays, deductibles or payment for services prior to treatment and document transactions in EMR.
• Perform daily insurance verifications.
• Monitor entrances and exits of visitors, patients and families.
• Handle various clerical functions as assigned by Manager and/or Director.
• Follow facility policies and procedures relevant to duties.
