Job summary

Bone Dry Roofing is seeking a detailed and dependable Bilingual Payroll Specialist to join our HR team in a full-time, on-site office role. This position supports accurate weekly payroll for 18 locations across 8 states and is ideal for early-career professionals seeking growth with guidance from experienced team members.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of payroll, finance or accounting experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is required.
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Dayforce, UKG or similar platforms is preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Pass a background check and Pre-employment Drug Screen.
• Solid understanding of payroll processes, applicable regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process weekly field commission payroll across all company locations.
• Collect, review, verify, and maintain employee timekeeping and attendance records.
• Verify and investigate discrepancies by identifying missing or inaccurate payroll information before submission.
• Maintain accurate payroll data, including pay rates, vacation time, commissions, bonuses, and insurance deductions.
• Process new hires, terminations, and employee status changes promptly within the payroll system.
• Maintain accurate payroll system configurations and ensure timely, accurate payroll tax filings.
• Conduct regular payroll audits to verify accuracy and support compliance.
• Train managers on reviewing and editing time punches for their direct reports.
• Respond to employee payroll questions, investigate payment issues, and drive discrepancies to resolution.
• Respond promptly to employment verification and reference check requests.
• Maintain confidential payroll files, personnel records, and documentation.
• Prepare and distribute internal management reports using payroll software.
• Partner with the HR team on benefits administration, employee records, and third-party audits.
• Help maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
