Job summary

Gonzaba Medical Group in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Patient Service Representative for the inbound contact center. You will assist GMG patients with scheduling appointments, processing prescription refills, and educating patients on GMG services including specialty and nursing services.

Responsibilities include handling phone calls, routing requests to appropriate departments, and ensuring timely, accurate data entry while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Schedules, cancels and reschedules daily appointments using the Athena system.
• Answers all incoming calls for Gonzaba Medical Group.
• Submits phone notes to the appropriate pod/department.
• Processes prescription refill requests per GMG guidelines.
• Matches prospective patients with a GMG provider and Medical Center.
• Coordinates with local hospitals through the Hospitalist on duty.

Responsibilities

• Appears to be copied; include optional additional duties as assigned.
• Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Ensures patient requests are handled timely and accurately.
• Assists patients with transportation and interpreter scheduling.
