Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and maintain confidentiality.
• Friendly, professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Welcomes patients, checks them in and completes registration including demographics, insurance and service payments.
• Verifies insurance, handles authorizations and obtains required signatures.
• Scans pertinent information into the patient record and maintains scheduling.
• Answers calls, messages and faxes and routes to appropriate departments.
• Coordinates nurse, physician and patient time to expedite care and directs patients to services.
