Qualifications

• Associates degree or 2+ years in patient services.
• Bilingual Spanish speaking required.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Healthcare experience in medical, dental, or behavioral health preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors and callers.
• Oversee the reception area atmosphere.
• Greet patients and assist them as appropriate.
• Review schedules daily for accuracy and fill appointment opportunities.
• Schedule and reschedule appointments per CHC guidelines.
• Collect, verify, update and document patient demographics and insurance information.
• Reconcile patient visits daily.
• Verify active insurance coverage and status and update information as necessary.
• Collect patient payments, balances and copays.
• Assist patients with payment plans/sliding fee applications.
• Complete end of day reporting and balance records.
• Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls and document in EHR.
• Assist patients with forms and scan into EHR.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
