Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP) is hiring a Patient Services Representative/Surgery Front Office Receptionist. You will be the first impression, greet patients, gather visit information, and support the surgical workflow with scheduling and chart preparation.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Spanish speaking is highly preferred; medical front desk experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• Detail oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Medical Front Desk experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule.
• Dedicated to creating a quality patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete chart from patient care counselor and provide to nurses.
• Prepare patient for admission with correct information and head cover.
• Assemble medical records in established format for filing.
• Inform manager about equipment supplies needed for pending surgery days.
• Create surgery schedule for the following day and make copies.
• Arrange for pick-up of specimens by lab courier and log in the specimen book.
• Coordinate with A/R to ensure accuracy of surgery log and correct errors.
• Keep dictation and surgery logs up-to-date and accessible.
