Job summary

American Vision Partners (AVP) is seeking a Patient Services Representative/Surgery Front Office Receptionist to be the first contact for patients, greet them warmly, and collect critical visit information.

You will support surgical scheduling, prepare charts, coordinate with nurses and anesthesia, and help keep the front desk efficient in a fast-paced ophthalmology environment. Spanish language skills are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preference for Spanish speaking Candidates.
• Detail oriented with strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients personally and gathers visit information.
• Obtains complete chart from the patient care team and prepares for nurses.
• Prepares surgical chart for the day and applies patient labels where needed.
• Assembles medical records for filing and coordinates with departments.
• Notifies anesthesia team daily with location, cut time and surgeon name.
• Keeps surgery and dictation logs up to date for staff reference.
