Job summary

Epiphany Dermatology in Austin, TX is seeking a Patient Relations Specialist to join our HQ-based team. You will provide exceptional customer service, schedule appointments, assist with patient billing, and coordinate communication between patients, insurances, and clinics in a call-center environment.

The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Spanish, has 1–3 years of high-volume phone support experience in a medical office, and is proficient with Microsoft Office and ModMed EMA.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of high-volume phone customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Administrative medical office experience is highly preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
• Experience with ModMed EMA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by answering phones in a timely and friendly manner.
• Schedule appointments, manage cancellations and reschedules, and handle wait lists.
• Provide patient billing support and facilitate communication among patients, insurances, and clinics.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance processes, self-pay billing, and third-party guidelines.
• Support call center and billing departments as needed; cross-train in front desk duties.
• Occasional travel to other locations for reception coverage as needed.
