Toppenish Medical-Dental Clinic in Toppenish, WA is seeking a Relief Patient Benefits Coordinator to support patient billing and insurance processes.

You will respond to billing questions, guide patients through eligibility and applications for medical coverage, coordinate with Medicaid and the Billing department, and help clients read and understand their benefits. This part-time, non-exempt role offers bilingual pay adjustments for English/Spanish skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year's experience with billing credit and/or patient benefits, preferably in a medical office.
• ACA Certification; must pass ACA exam within 90 days of employment.
• Experience with State Managed Care plans preferred.
• Bilingual differential compensation available with ALTA score of 9.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient billing questions and assist with resolving issues; coordinate with Billing and Medicaid offices.
• Provide information to patients on billing and payment practices.
• Explain patient bills, balances due, and account activity.
• Review insurance options and eligibility; advise on third-party resources to obtain care.
• Assist clients with medical insurance applications and document required information.
• Educate clients on reading and understanding their coverage; help resolve issues with medical cards or benefits.
• Manage daily work queues to ensure timely processing of insurance applications and discounts.
• May perform lead duties and provide training as needed.
