Job summary

Urban Health Plan is seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Patient Service Representative for the Vida Guidance Center in The Bronx. The PSR will greet and register patients, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and provide compassionate support to patients and families in a busy health care setting.

This full-time role requires a 40-hour workweek with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional late shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• One year of experience in an office setting with clerical duties.
• Bilingual Spanish/English required.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and identifies their needs.
• Verifies insurance information through managed care website.
• Answers incoming calls and takes messages for providers.
• Registers patients, assigns PCP (when applicable), and updates demographic information.
• Schedules and reschedules appointments; maintains charts and provides administrative support.
