Urban Health Plan (UHP) is seeking a Bilingual Patient Service Representative for the Vida Guidance Center in The Bronx. The role greets, registers, and assists patients, verifies demographics and insurance, and schedules appointments with a focus on delivering compassionate service across shifts.

The position requires 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday with one of several evening options. Starting compensation is $19.50 per hour with comprehensive benefits including health coverage and retirement

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and identify their needs.

Position Summary: We are currently hiring a Bilingual (Spanish/English) Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our Vida Guidance Center located in The Bronx. The Patient Service Presentative provides information, support, encouragement, and assistance to patients and families as they arrive at the health care facility. This role greets and registers patients and visitors, verifies and records patient information, and provides comfort and empathy to patients while maintaining the waiting room. This role provides accurate and consistent information to patients, schedule appointments, and resolves patient concerns. Applicants must have availability to commit to a schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30 or 9-6 with two late night shifts 11am-8pm between Monday-Thursday. Saturdays as needed.

Starting Compensation: Minimum $19.50 per hour; Maximum $19.50 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required.
• One year of experience in office setting with clerical duties required. Training provided on health care administrative duties.
• Bilingual Spanish/Englishrequired.
• Must have excellent communication skills and ability to provide exceptional experience to patients.
• Understanding of phone etiquette and standard office procedures.
