Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Delaware in Wilmington (Patient Access Center) is seeking a Patient Access Representative to handle high-volume calls, schedule appointments, and verify insurance. This in-person role supports patients with inquiries, cost estimates, and scheduling in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will be bilingual and have experience with medical offices; Epic experience and prior call center work are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual required; we value experience with Epic systems and call-center settings.
• Education: high school or equivalent; medical assistant/administrative background preferred; scheduling experience required.
• Familiarity with women’s health services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume, multi-line call queue and schedule patients.
• Verify insurance eligibility and respond to patient inquiries with accuracy.
• Provide financial counseling and explain estimated costs for services.
• Document information in the practice management system and coordinate with staff.
• Assist with patient intake and ensure a positive patient experience.
