Job summary

Salud Para La Gente, Inc. seeks a Patient Service Representative to interview patients, collect registration data, and coordinate patient flow in a community clinic setting.

You will work with the Lead Medical or Lead Dental Assistant to ensure smooth operations and high-quality care. Ideal candidates are bilingual in Spanish/English, with prior medical office receptionist experience, and comfortable using a computerized practice management system to maintain confidential patient records and

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• One year of medical office receptionist/records experience preferred.
• Experience with computer-based medical entry.
• Excellent alphabetical and numerical filing and payment processing skills.
• Fluent bilingual Spanish/English.
• Valid CA Driver's License and ability to travel between sites.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to SALUD's communication guidelines with patients, peers and supervisors.
• Greets every patient with a verbal greeting and friendly manner.
• Communicates effectively with empathy and reflective listening.
• Registers and orients patients to clinic policies and services.
• Enters and updates patient registration info in the practice management system.
• Assists with collecting payments and researching account balances.
