Job summary

Wellness Pointe is seeking a motivated patient registrar to register patients, collect co-pays, and manage financial arrangements. The role requires bilingual English/Spanish skills and proficiency with EMR systems.

You will verify insurance, collect data, and support billing and scheduling in a fast-paced clinic environment. The ideal candidate has office experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure a smooth patient check-in and accurate records.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Typically one year of office/administrative experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of billing and insurance processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients to obtain demographic and insurance information for medical record identification and bill processing.
• Inputs patient registration information into computer system and verifies accuracy of data entered.
• Prepares required forms for signature by patient or family member.
• Requests and collects co-pays and deposits, and issues receipts at time of payment.
• Discusses financial arrangements with patients and explains billing and collections policies.
• Communicates with medical staff regarding patient access, transfers, authorization requirements, etc.
• May verify patient insurance coverage and obtain/track authorizations for procedures.
• Insurance verification and pre-authorization of procedures.
