Job summary

Care Options for Kids seeks a Patient Access Intake Coordinator - Bilingual to join our Dallas team. You will manage referrals, verify Medicaid/MCO insurance, and maintain patient records in the EHR while delivering exceptional service to families and referral partners.

This role blends in-person and remote work within a hybrid structure. Responsibilities include answering calls, entering referrals, insurance verification, and supporting process improvements across Patient Access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree or technical school preferred.
• Two years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls to Intake line.
• Enter referrals into EHR (and other systems as required).
• Contact families with non-contracted insurance to discuss potential financial liability.
• Assign referrals to Scheduling queues.
• Complete Medicaid/MCO insurance verification for referrals entered.
• Enter and maintain accurate information and communication notes in electronic medical record (EHR) and maintain confidentiality with protected health information (PHI).
• Provide excellent customer service, communicating in a positive and effective manner with families, referral partners, physicians, and clinicians, via phone and email.
• Support process improvement for all Patient Access functions.
