Angels of Care Pediatric Home Health is seeking an Intake Coordinator for our Sherman, TX office. This on-site role manages new patient referrals, gathers necessary information, verifies benefits, and coordinates scheduling to ensure a smooth start of care for families.

The ideal candidate has healthcare admin experience, strong communication, and bilingual Spanish proficiency. You will serve as a key contact for families, providers, and internal teams throughout onboarding, with a focus on

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in administrative, healthcare, medical office, patient access, referral coordination, scheduling, or insurance verification role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle new patient referrals from hospitals, doctors' offices, case managers, and other referral sources.
• Collect and verify information for new pediatric home health patients.
• Screen inquiry calls and follow up with families or referral sources to schedule intakes.
• Verify insurance benefits, including Medicaid and private insurance.
• Coordinate with case managers, clinical teams, and internal departments to assign and complete intakes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established intake protocols.
• Support new client onboarding by ensuring all required paperwork and information are completed.
• Communicate with families, internal staff, and community healthcare partners to help coordinate a timely start of care.
