Job summary

Portfolio Resident Service seeks a part-time Program Coordinator to support residents in affordable housing communities in Baytown. The role focuses on CORES certified resident services and programs that build knowledge, life skills and healthy lifestyles.

The ideal candidate is organized, community-minded, and able to work independently with a heart for social and economic change; schedule is 12–5pm, three days per week, with occasional evening/weekend duties.

Qualifications

• Available to work 3 days per week; Hours are 12-5pm (Mon–Fri)
• Occasional evening and weekend availability may be required as duties demand (1–2 times per quarter)
• Experience in education, social work, non-profit or related fields; volunteer experience considered
• Experience with children, teens, adults and/or senior citizens in various capacities
• Ability to work independently without supervision and multitask
• Exceptional organizational, computer and administrative skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Familiarity with community and social service resources
• Must have home computer, access to email and capability to do light printing.

Responsibilities

• Provide a welcoming and inviting atmosphere to residents; act as initial contact at the community center.
• Prepare reports based on calendars, sign-in sheets, and contracted program hours.
• Design and post monthly calendars and flyers; distribute on-site.
• Oversee program offerings; recruit volunteers; solicit donations; work with partners.
• Log communications with volunteers and partners; submit monthly log.
• Provide information about local resources to residents.
• Identify resident needs; communicate to personnel to address needs.
• Monitor and interact with participants of all ages.
• Maintain sign-in sheets for all activities.
• Manage petty cash and replenish supplies as needed.
• Supervise the community center; keep it clean and organized.
