Job summary

Maersk Ground Freight (MGF) in Denver, CO is seeking an Operations Associate/Support to manage freight forwarding shipments across multiple modes. The role emphasizes high-level operations excellence and quality customer service at the station, with responsibilities spanning tracking, carrier contracting, load tenders, and live status updates.

Weekend availability is required; Sundays and Mondays off. Rotating shifts include 9am-6pm, 5am-1:30pm, and 11am-7:30pm.

Qualifications

MS Office proficiency required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Typing speed of 35+ words per minute.
Ability to work in a demanding, high-volume environment.
Precise attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Tracking and tracing outbound shipments.
Inspecting outbound freight.
Contracting new carriers, assigning carriers and providing load tenders.
Communicating freight status to other stations and customers, and updating the system.
Provide customer service.
Able to work overtime and weekend on-call rotations.
Data entry of shipments into transportation management system.
Quoting, costing and invoicing of international shipments, air, ocean and ground.
Domestic air and ground routing (including Canada).
Contract new carriers.
Negotiate freight rates.
Develop collaborative carrier relationships.
Find and develop new logistics/freight opportunities and design carrier solutions for other Pilot offices and external customers.
