Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking a Global Operations Associate to manage freight forwarding shipments into and out of the station across multiple modes. The role focuses on delivering high-level operations excellence and a quality customer service experience while maintaining station KPIs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Typing 35+ words per minute.
• Comfortable in a high-volume environment and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Tracking and tracing outbound shipments.
• Inspecting outbound freight.
• Contracting new carriers and providing load tenders.
• Communicating freight status to stations and customers and updating the system.
• Provide customer service.
• Run reports.
• Data entry of shipments into the transportation management system.
• Domestic air and ground routing (including Canada).
• Negotiate freight rates and develop carrier relationships.
• Assigning carriers and providing load tenders.
• Find and develop new logistics/freight opportunities and design carrier solutions.
