Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics, located in Carteret, USA, is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the 2nd shift. The role involves supervising inbound/outbound activities, labor planning, and coordinating with clients to meet service and cost objectives.

Responsibilities include staff hiring, training, performance reviews, and enforcing SOPs while driving KPI achievement and safe, efficient operations. Must be bilingual in English/Spanish and willing to work nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 3 years’ experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment
• 1 year experience in a supervisory role
• Preferred: Prior MHE certification / knowledge of basic MHE operation

Responsibilities

• Supervise inbound, outbound, and warehousing activities daily.
• Plan labor scheduling and space utilization.
• Hire and train staff; conduct performance appraisals.
• Communicate with senior management and client representatives.
• Ensure KPI targets and safety guidelines are met.
• Support adherence to SOPs and provide staff development.
