Job summary

DSV USA Chester is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage labor, inbound/outbound activities and product slotting while coordinating with customers. The role requires scheduling, space planning and supervisory oversight under the Operations Manager.

Responsibilities include safety, quality, KPI achievement, coaching, and adherence to SOPs. The candidate must have strong leadership and communication skills, and be able to work a rotating shift schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3 years’ experience in logistics/distribution.
• 1 year supervisory experience.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct staff meetings to review daily/weekly work activities.
• Inform senior management and client representatives of critical issues.
• Develop systems for managing operations, equipment, and products safely and profitably.
• Meet client KPIs and comply with Quality system requirements.
• Assist in hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Plan daily work schedules and assign duties to warehouse staff.
• Train new staff and assess progress.
