Job summary

Mutual Security Credit Union in Connecticut is seeking a Customer Service–oriented Member Service Representative. You will assist members in person and by phone with deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and balance information, while guiding them to the right products and digital channels.

The role blends transactional service with consultative sales, requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, and demands accuracy and confidentiality in daily banking operations.

Qualifications

• Requires bilingual English/Spanish capabilities to serve diverse members.
• Experience in customer service within a financial institution is preferred.
• Cash handling experience is required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for member interactions.
• Ability to type and use general office machines and computer terminals.
• Proficiency with standard banking procedures and MSR/Teller functions.
• Maintain confidentiality of member information and transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and provide routine information about services.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and balance inquiries.
• Educate members on ATM, Online, Telephone, and Mobile banking options.
• Open new accounts and resolve account discrepancies.
• Cross-sell services to meet member needs and achieve sales goals.
• Balance vaults, ATM, and end-of-day processes; maintain accurate records.
