Job summary

Children's Village in Yakima, WA is seeking a Relief Medical Receptionist (BHS) to greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and support Providers. As the first contact, you will ensure accurate data and provide translation as needed to patients.

This part-time, non-exempt role offers bilingual differential compensation and a pay range of $17.57-$21.52 per hour DOE, with opportunities to assist patients with insurance questions and access to care in our community health network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year's experience as a Receptionist in a clinic preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) with ALTA score of 9 qualifies for Bilingual Differential Compensation.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) speaking skills required at a level 9.

Responsibilities

• Answers the phone, transfers calls, and takes messages for the clinic.
• Greet patients and maintain logs; provide translation as needed.
• Ensure data and forms are complete; register new patients and update data.
• Schedule appointments; notify providers of no-shows and cancellations; adjust as needed.
• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with questions about plans.
• Respond to patient questions in person, by phone, or online portals.
• May perform routine billing tasks and reconcile daily cash box.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
