Job summary

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is hiring a Bilingual Medical Front Office Specialist for the Southwest clinic in San Antonio. This seasonal, full-time role supports our providers, triages patients, and helps families navigate visits with confidence and compassion.

Requirements include a high school diploma, Medical Assistant training or certification, BLS, and fluency in English and Spanish. The work is fast-paced and patient-centered, with evenings and weekend shifts, and opportunities to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant education, certification, military medical experience, or other qualifying clinical training.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong understanding of patient safety, clinical standards, and infection control.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pediatric clinical environment.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and rotating shifts.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Triage pediatric patients and obtain accurate medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments while helping children feel comfortable.
• Administer medications and vaccines according to established safety protocols.
• Perform CLIA-waived laboratory testing and required quality control checks.
• Document patient care accurately and in real time.
• Complete and close patient charts by the end of each shift.
• Support efficient patient flow, especially during high-volume periods.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and clinical team members.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

Clinic Hours:

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
• Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Flexible availability based on clinic needs
• Opportunity to travel to other Little Spurs clinics as needed
