Job summary

Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant - Southwest for the Southwest Military Clinic in San Antonio. The role is seasonal full-time with a pay range of $17–$19 per hour, depending on experience.

You will triage pediatric patients, assist providers, administer vaccines, and perform CLIA-waived tests while maintaining safety and service standards. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, have a Medical Assistant credential, and hold a current BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant education, certification, or relevant clinical training.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Strong understanding of patient safety, clinical standards, and infection control.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced pediatric clinical environment.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and rotating shifts.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Triage pediatric patients and obtain accurate medical histories and vital signs.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments while comforting children.
• Administer medications and vaccines per safety protocols.
• Perform CLIA-waived laboratory testing and quality control checks.
• Document patient care accurately and in real time.
• Complete and close patient charts by end of each shift.
• Support efficient patient flow during high-volume periods.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.

When We Operate

Clinic Hours:

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
• Saturday–Sunday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Flexible availability based on clinic needs
• Opportunity to travel to other Little Spurs clinics as needed
