Job summary
National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) seeks a Medical Coordinator to arrange and coordinate medical, dental, mental health, and pharmacy services for children in care. You will maintain confidential records, communicate with care teams, and ensure timely medical documentation.
The role requires bilingual English/Spanish proficiency, 1+ year in public health or healthcare, and a valid driver’s license. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, with opportunities for growth and ongoing
Qualifications
- Licensed nurse or higher health qualification.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- 1+ year public health/healthcare experience preferred.
- Child welfare experience beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate medical, dental, mental health and pharmacy services for children in care.
- Maintain confidential health records and ensure PHI compliance.
- Schedule and coordinate medical appointments and tests.
- Educate foster parents on medical policies and requirements.
- Ensure timely documentation and data entry into health records systems.
