Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Naperville, IL is seeking a Lead Medical Coordinator to oversee health services for children in care and ensure timely, appropriate medical care. You will supervise Medical Coordinators, train staff on pediatrics, dental and public health topics, and develop policies for confidential health records and triage.

This role requires RN license, bilingual English/Spanish, and a willingness to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

RN licensed with a Bachelor’s or higher in a health-related field.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Minimum 1 year in public health or healthcare with care coordination/administration or direct clinical care.
At least 1 year in child welfare/social services with children/adolescents.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and current auto insurance.
Proficient with common software; comfortable with computers, tablets and smart devices.
Willingness to work non-traditional hours and be on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

Oversee health services and coordinate timely, appropriate care for children in care.
Supervise Medical Coordinators and train staff on pediatrics, dental and public health topics.
Develop and maintain policies for confidential health record management and triage of health concerns.
Coordinate medical emergency response and environmental health/safety duties.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure care and PCU process readiness.
