Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Licensed Registered Nurse to oversee health services for children in care. You will coordinate timely medical care, supervise medical coordinators, and ensure confidential health records compliance.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor's or Higher health-related education qualification.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of employment in public health or a healthcare setting with demonstrated experience in care coordination, health administration, or direct clinical care.
• (1) year of experience working in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, a safe and clean personal vehicle, and current automobile insurance.
• Must be able to maintain compliance with attending agency required training programs.
• Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee health services and coordinate timely, appropriate health care for children in care.
• Supervise other Medical Coordinators and provide staff training on medical topics relevant to pediatrics, adolescent, and migrant health.
• Develop and maintain policies for confidential health record management, PHI, and health emergencies.
• Ensure confidentiality of health records and communication with case managers and clinicians.
• Schedule health care appointments and assist transportation as needed.
• Prepare TARs and follow up to ensure payments.
